Nine Indian companies launch their IPs and share glimpses of their projects at Mipcom 2025

With meaningful collaborations, the annual gathering of global content creators, producers, distributors and buyers at Mipcom Cannes has been a launching pad for several projects over the last 40 years.

The event witnessed strong participation of various media and entertainment, animation, visual effects companies, content distributors and post-production houses from India. This year, out of 70 Indian companies over 40 of them participated under the banner of Waves Bazaar, while the rest opted for an independent presence at the market.

At the market, the Indian pavilion was put up by the a joint initiative by the Indian Consulate in Marseilles, the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, and the Services Export Promotion Council (SEPC).The Bharat Pavilion was inaugurated in the presence of consul general at Consulate General of India Marseille Karjee Brahma Rupjyoti, Services Export Promotion Council (SEPC) director general Abhay Sinha, National Film Development Corporation (NFDC) general manager Tarun Talreja, SEPC senior director Chandranshu Awasthi and other dignitaries.

A total of nine companies presented their new and upcoming projects during the event. “We have witnessed lots of disruptions in the content space and knowledge exchange taking place. This year, it would be a great takeaway for all participating companies from India,” said Sinha.

Artha Animation-  Artha Animation founder and CEO Gaurav Malhotra shared the video of their upcoming original animated series Om: The Sacred Force scheduled to hit one the country’s biggest OTT platforms around February 2026. The mythological fantasy is aimed at family and young adults aged above 10 years. The show format will have 10 episodes, each approximately over 25 minutes in length. 

Om The Sacred Force is a modern-day epic, a coming-of-age supernatural adventure wrapped in ancient Indian mythology, layered with suspense and humour. At the heart of the story lies a mystical gem, the same divine jewel once worn by Lord Vishnu, now reborn in the most unlikely of places: inside the chest of a rebellious teenage orphan named Om. What follows is a thrilling tug-of-war between good and evil across generations, time, and realms, where dharma meets destiny, and an unassuming boy must rise as the savior of a sacred legacy.

Encore Films- Encore Films founder and CEO Ankur Bhasin launched a pre-school edutainment series. Written in first person narrative, the story is somewhat similar to Dr. Seuss’s Horton Hears a Who! 

Green Gold Animation- Studio’s founder and CEO Rajiv Chilaka announced their three new upcoming projects: 2D animated CG feature film The Assassin which is the company’s first co-production project; feature film on the celestial animal Airavat and three blind kids; and Chutki from the universe of Chhota Bheem.

Magic Lume CG- The Hyderabad-based studio’s founder and creative director Vijay kumar Bhairavabhotla unveiled their work Tin Tan Jungle.

One Life Studios and  philmCGI- Creative director Kanchi Kanani from philmCGI talked about their animated project Porus of Jumbodweep. The story is about an ordinary school boy who stumbles upon a magical conch.

Ultra- Ultra Media & Entertainment Group COO & director Rajat Agrawal unveiled their new animated feature film The Tarbo. The film is set in a prehistoric world and explores the themes of survival and fractured friendships.

Storyvord- Storyvord is a platform which works as an artificial intelligence (AI) co-producer for global filmmaking. The company’s founder Gaurav Sharma briefly introduced it to everyone present at the Indian Pavilion. He explained how they find crew, manage logistics, ensure compliance, and enhance the creative flow, all in one place, powered by AI.

NH Studioz- NH Studioz founder & chairman Narendra Hirawat revealed the trailer of their upcoming live action project The Confession (2025). The Hindi film features Nana Patekar, Ashish Vidyarthi and Neha Mahajan in lead roles.
