The Amazonian princess, Diana Prince famously known as the Wonder Woman who will be making her theatrical debut next year in the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, also has a her solo film in 2017. A lot of the mythological elements are seen in Wonder Woman’s stories over the decades (especially The New 52), like Greek deities and monsters from mysterious realms and to make these mythological characters get a realistic effect who else would be better than the award winning Bill Westenhofer.

Bill Westenhofer who’s a visual effects supervisor has worked on the breathtaking movies like Life of Pi and Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe. He has also won the BAFTA and Academy Award for films like The Golden Compass and Life of Pi. The audience is in for a treat as having Westenhofer on board means that we can expect some real good visual effects. He has also worked on the forthcoming fantasy movie Warcraft, which will be released 10 June, 2016.

The Fast and Furious actress, Gal Gadot will be the protagonist and Wonder Woman’s love interest, Steve Trevor will be played by Chris Pine, best known for his work in Star Trek. Trevor has appeared as a government agent, a super-spy and also a member of the superhero group known as the Justice League in the comic books. The movie will be directed by Patty Jenkins and Jason Fuchs will be seen writing the script for the same.

Wonder Woman will make her debut in the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and will also be seen in the 2016 Justice League: Part One movie. Not much has been revealed about the plot her solo film but hopefully we’ll start hearing more information towards the end of the year.

The DC and Warner Bros film Wonder Woman is slated to be released on 23 June, 2017.
