‘Justice League’ synopsis, logo and a new batmobile revealed

Logo, a new batmobile and first plot synopsis has been revealed by Warner Bros. nearly a year and a half before the scheduled release of the Justice League film. The studio held a set visit last week for the DC Comics-based film and gave an early look at the movie.

Here’s the synopsis: Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his new found ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But, despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.

With the synopsis revealed, we also come to know about this villainous enemy, Steppenwolf who would be the main villain of the film and mostly that greater enemy. Along with him, Lex Luthor will also be a part of the Justice League crew, as Jesse Eisenberg has confirmed he’ll be reprising his villainous role.

Justice League would be the fifth installment to the DC Extended Universe with the first two being Man of Steel and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (BvS). Though the film grossed $872.7 million worldwide, BvS received negative reviews from the critics and a mixed reaction from the audience due to its storyline.

Seeing the response for BvS, Warner Bros. and DC have already started working on their strategy to raise in the eyes of their fans and earn their trust back with one after another amazing trailers for Suicide Squad that’s releasing in August.

And now as what we can learn from the synopsis, Justice League will be a lighter version from DC as opposed to the overly dark and gritty one seen in BvS.

Affleck shared insight into his take on a more hopeful Dark Knight, “He’s a little bit more sardonic, a little more irony. He’s a little more of a man on a mission this time. As opposed to, he was so full of anger because of what happened at the Black Zero Event. That sort of rage that possessed him. And now he’s on a mission to get this group together; to constitute this League. But more of that sort of Bruce Wayne, wry, ironic gallows humour comes out. He’s not like a ‘haha’ jokey, but that sort of stuff comes out a little bit. A bit of his darker humour is present.”

Directed by Zack Snyder, this marks the big screen debut of the Justice League, featuring an all-star lineup: Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Jason Momoa, Ezra Miller and Ray Fisher.
