Seems like the crossover fever has now spread onto the kids shows as well. Cartoon Network’s two shows will witness a crossover episode next month. The Powerpuff Girls and DC’s spin-off series Teen Titans GO! will be teaming up to destroy the villainous talking monkey, Mojo Jojo.
This news comes from USA Today as they revealed that we will witness a crossover between the the rebooted The Powerpuff Girls show which made its return on air last month along with the team up with the youngsters of Teen Titans GO!
“Jump City will never be the same when our little superheroes Blossom, Bubbles and Buttercup meet up with the Teen Titans for the very first time. When these two worlds of superheroes collide, it will surely be something to remember,” said The Powerpuff Girls, executive producer, Nick Jennings.
According to Teen Titans GO! producer, Aaron Horvath, Titans members Cyborg and Beast Boy find Mojo Jojo to be pretty cool for a talking monkey whereas the Girls compete with Raven, Starfire and Robin to establish which superhero team is better. There’s more in store for the viewers than just the crossover, as a new song is set to debut called Monkey Army.
The crossover will take place on Titans show wherein the Girls’ arch enemy Mojo Jojo is up to no good in the Jump city. The Powerpuff trio teams with their fellow squad to take the villainous monkey down.
