Disney’s music-driven live-action series Vampirina: Teenage Vampire is set to return for a second season on 6 October on Disney Channel, with the full season streaming on Disney+ from 7 October.
The new season will introduce Jodie Sweetin, known for Full House, and Ava Jean, known for Camp Rock 3, as recurring guest stars. Hollywood Records artist Hudson Stone, who has appeared in Camp Rock 3 and The Mickey Mouse Club pilot, will also guest star. Kim Coles, known for Living Single, will return as Dean Merriweather.
Vampirina: Teenage Vampire stars Kenzi Richardson as Vee, Jiwon Lee as Sophie, Shaun Dixon as Elijah, Milo Maharlika as Demi and Faith Hedley as Britney.
The series follows Vee, a tween vampire who leaves the safety of Transylvania to attend a performing arts boarding school. Experiencing life among humans for the first time, she pursues her passion for music while keeping her vampire identity hidden.
In the second season, Vee and her friends return to Wilson Hall after performing for the entire school in front of her idol, Millie Eyelash. However, the performance also inadvertently releases a group of monsters that had previously been imprisoned in the mirror realm.
As Vee and her friends pursue new musical ambitions, they must also deal with a prophecy stating that Vee and Elijah can never be together.
The series is led by showrunners and executive producers Dan Cross and David Hoge, who are part of the team behind Julie and the Phantoms. Tim Federle, creator of High School Musical: The Musical: The Series, serves as executive producer alongside Bronwyn North-Reist and Meg Deloatch, known for Family Reunion. Randi Barnes developed the series for television.
The second season of Vampirina: Teenage Vampire will premiere on Disney Channel on 6 October, followed by its full-season release on Disney+ on 7 October.
