Marvel grants a dying fan’s wish to watch ‘Avengers: Endgame’ before release

The love for Marvel is visible through its fan following and it is reciprocated by Marvel in a heart-warming way. An Australian man named Alexander is suffering from liver cancer, mouth cancer and a rare genetic disorder and could die before the official release of the film, Avengers: Endgame. The 33 year-old is a huge Avengers fan and in a note to Reddit, he mentioned his wish to watch the final saga before passing.

“Liver cancer, mouth cancer, bone marrow failure. Will probably be dead before April. I’ve heard of people getting early screenings before. How do I get in on this action? I’m not a child or anyone with a particularly tragic story. Just a normal guy. I’m 33, lost my sister three years ago to the same rare genetic disease it turns out I have too. I’ll leave behind a devoted girlfriend and an adopted greyhound. I thought I’d make it to April at least but my bone marrow is toast. Any suggestions?” – Alexander wrote.

With the huge support from social media and the help of Chris Hemsworth, Marvel may grant the man his dying wish of watching Avengers: Endgame before its April release.

“I cried when I read their email. It’s everything I hoped for and I owe it to all of you,” Alexander reacted to his wish being accepted. And while he may be dying, but his brave soul didn’t shy away from some humour. “If I do survive until Endgame it’s gonna feel strange because I’ll feel sorta obligated to die,” – Alexander wrote. We hope for Alexander’s miraculous recovery, irrespective of him getting to see the movie before anyone else.

Avengers: Endgame is set to release on 26 April. The first trailer came out for the fans on 7 December and the second trailer is expected to be out sometime soon.
