JBL Quantum Cup levels up in second annual tournament

This December, the JBL Quantum Cup gaming tournament returns, and is bigger than ever. Hosted 17 December to19 December, the JBL Quantum Cup invites gaming fans across the world to watch, play and win. JBL has once again partnered with ESL, the largest esports organisation in the world, to power the JBL Quantum Cup and provide even more opportunities for fans to play against the pros. Alongside the highly-anticipated return of Fortnite, JBL introduces two new titles to this year’s event: Counter Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) and Apex Legends.

Fans will be able to see the top names in esports, including the newly signed 100 Thieves Apex Legends team, go head-to-head and will even have the chance to play in the JBL Quantum Cup’s global Fortnite tournament. Viewers can catch a preview of the action here and will be able to see every can’t-miss moment live on JBL’s Twitch channel and IGN (U.S. only) as well as IGN’s new, dedicated esports channel IGN Compete.

On 27 November and 28 November, aspiring gamers from across the globe will have the chance to compete for a coveted spot in the global JBL Quantum Cup Fortnite tournament, with regional qualifying rounds held in North America, Europe and Asia. To dial up the competition, JBL expanded the lobbies to accommodate 200 duos, with the top 25 duos advancing through three rounds of qualifiers, then on to the JBL Quantum Cup Fortnite championship on December 17. Interested players can sign up here through 25 November.

“We are continually looking for ways to bring fans together with the best names in esports. Now in its second year, JBL is taking the JBL Quantum Cup to the next level by giving amateur gamers even more chances to play alongside the pros.Fans wanted larger lobbies in the JBL Fortnite competition, so we delivered,” said HARMAN executive VP and chief marketing officer Ralph Santana.

During the global event, JBL will be at the center of the esports world with the best professional teams, hosts and entertainers. In addition to the 100 Thieves Apex Legends team, participants will be able to engage with other JBL Ambassadors and pro gamers – like SypherPK, Arkhram, Doigby, Keebabb, and Royalistiq – and enjoy special JBL.com promotions and prize drops during the stream.
