Hyderabad to witness Comic Con on 24 and 25 September

After a successful Comic Con express edition in Pune which was held on 20 and 21 February, we had earlier reported that Comic Con India is going to have its full fledged editions in the later half of the year. And today, Comic Con India announced on their social media sites that ‘‎Comic Con‬ Is back In Hyderabad on 24 and 25 September 2016.’

Started back in 2013, with the express edition, the city of Nawab will be witnessing the fourth edition of Comic Con India. As opposed to what we witnessed in the previous years, the pop culture event will be held before the Bengaluru edition and Comic Con India will kick off their full fledged editions from Hyderabad. Last year, the Comic Con India had pushed their dates from June to September due to logistical reasons and took place from 12 to 13 September, 2015 at Hitex Exhibition Center.

Since the Hyderabad edition will be taking place in September, the Bengaluru, Delhi and Mumbai editions can be expected to take place in the next three months consecutively. This a wise decision taken by Comic Con as what we witnessed at the Delhi Comic Con and the express Pune edition, many people had complained about the heat especially the cosplayers as they had to roam in their heavy costume which wasn’t quite comfortable. In an earlier interaction with Comic Con India founder, Jatin Varma, had said, “2016’s Comic Con’s will be held in the later half of the year, most probably from September when the weather is pleasant and we promise that many cool things can be expected from the upcoming cons.”

We might also to get to witness many indie comic book publishers as Comic Con India has come out with an incentive that will let them come on board at free of cost if they comply to the rules laid down by the Comic Con. So all the comic lovers and cosplayers, gear up for the biggest pop culture event in India as Comic Con India is ready to roll in Hyderabad on 24 and 25 September.

Update: As expected, Comic Con India will be visiting the remaining three cities in the next three months. Post Hyderabad, their next stop would be ‘the city that never sleeps’ – Mumbai on 22 and 23 October, followed by Bengaluru on 12 and 13 November. Finally the con will visit the city where it all started – Delhi. And fans are in for a treat as they will get to enjoy the #BestWeekendOfTheYear for not two but three days, from 9 December to 11 December.
