E3 2021 Dates are out, Will Be Free to attend

E3 2021 dates are out. Short for Electronics Entertainment Expo, last year’s edition was not held due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. This year’s E3 will take place online and will be free. E3 2021 will take place from 12 June to 15 June.

“For more than two decades, E3 has been the premier venue to showcase the best that the video game industry has to offer, while uniting the world through games,” said Stanley Pierre-Louis, CEO of the ESA (the company that runs E3), in a statement (via Gamesbeat). “We are evolving this year’s E3 into a more inclusive event, but will still look to excite the fans with major reveals and insider opportunities that make this event the indispensable center stage for video games.”

The theme of E3 is ‘Game On’ and the ESA highlighted  that it will be 100 percent free for all attendees with no part of it behind a paywall.Joining partners for E3 2021 are Xbox, Nintendo, Ubisoft, Capcom, Take-Two, Warner Bros., and Koch Media. While this is not the complete list, EA, Activision Blizzard, and Sony are not skipping it altogether.

It will be exciting to see how a digital E3 is received. For many, E3 was seen as the convention to be at. And while going digital may dull its sparkle, the world seems to be getting to grips with digital event in this new age.
