Hirasaka will be voiced by Fairouz Ai, known for her roles in Chainsaw Man and The Eminence in Shadow. In the story, Hirasaka is a high school student who is transported to the mysterious world of Twisted-Wonderland after encountering a strange carriage on her way home from a judo tournament.

Season two will focus on the Savanaclaw dorm and an ominous plan driven by Leona Kingscholar’s hidden resolve and twisted emotions. Kingscholar will be voiced by Yuichiro Umehara, known for his role in Goblin Slayer. Season two will also introduce Jack Howl, voiced by Taito Ban, and Ruggie Bucchi, voiced by Aoi Ichikawa.

Disney Twisted-Wonderland: The Animation is based on the popular mobile game of the same name, which features a magical school setting inspired by iconic Disney villains. Manga artist Yana Toboso, creator of Black Butler, conceived the game and designed its characters.

The first season, Episode of Heartslabyul, premiered in October 2025 and became the most-watched Japanese animated series on Disney+ worldwide during its first week. The series also received a nomination for best Isekai at the 2026 Crunchyroll Anime Awards. A third season, titled Episode of Octavinelle, is also planned.

The anime is overseen by Disney Twisted-Wonderland: The Animation chief director and series composition writer Takahiro Natori, with Shin Katagai serving as series director. Yoichi Kato is the head writer, while Haruka Nakano and Akane Sato serve as character designers. The series is produced by Yumeta Company and Graphinica.

Set in the enchanted world of Twisted-Wonderland, the story centres on Night Raven College, an elite academy for young mages. The school’s seven dormitories are inspired by legendary figures known as the great seven, who are themselves based on iconic Disney villains, including the Queen of Hearts, Scar, Ursula, Jafar, Evil Queen, Hades, and Maleficent.

The second season of Disney Twisted-Wonderland: The Animation will premiere on Disney+ in December.
