Mumbai is getting ready for a musical drop as Alan Walker, Norwegian-British DJ and record producer, is set to headline the Battlegrounds Mobile India International Cup (BMIC) 2026, a BGMI international tournament series on 30 October. The performance will open the three-day esports tournament at the Dome, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel (SVP) Indoor Stadium (NSCI), with tickets listed on District, is the official ticketing platform and event registration app.
For BGMI players, the gig marks a return to familiar territory. In 2024, Walker’s track Hero became the game’s lobby anthem through the Be A Hero campaign. Two years later, the Norwegian DJ is set to take that connection from the screen to the stage.
DJ and record producer Walker shared, “India, I’m coming home! The love I’ve received from BGMI players since Hero became part of the game has been incredible, and I’m excited to perform for this community in person. BMIC 2026 brings together two things I’m passionate about, gaming and music, and I can’t wait to be part of it. Bring your squad, and let’s make some noise.”
Krafton India associate director of esports Karan Pathak stated, “When Hero became part of the BGMI lobby, our community embraced it as its own anthem. Bringing Alan Walker to BMIC 2026 takes that association from the game to the live stage. BMIC is a platform for the best teams in Asia to compete at the highest level, and we look forward to welcoming fans to Mumbai for an unforgettable weekend.”
The music is only part of the action. BMIC 2026 will bring together 16 teams, with six from India, five from South Korea and five from Japan, competing from 30 October to 1 November for a Rs 1 crore prize pool and qualification berths for the Global Championship 2026.
India’s campaign will be led by BMSD 2026 champions iQOO Soul, alongside Gladiators Esports, iQOO 8Bit, K9 Esports, Blitz Epigrotive Gaming and Outrage Esports.
With international rivals ready to lock horns and Walker set to take the opening-day stage, Mumbai’s esports weekend is lining up a soundtrack of its own. The teams will fight for the crown; the fans can expect a different kind of Hero moment.
