The Titans are back, and the Scout Regiment is ready for another round. Koei Tecmo (Japanese video game company) has unveiled a new gameplay trailer for Attack on Titan 3, giving fans another look at the action ahead of its December launch.
Developed by Omega Force, Japanese video game developer and internal division of Koei Tecmo, the game will take players through the anime’s story, from the early days of the Scout Regiment to its dramatic conclusion. Players will step into the role of a Scout and relive key events alongside the series’ familiar characters.
For the first time in the game series, players will also be able to take on the nine Titans in combat. The title will introduce new story content, offering a closer look at its characters and the world they inhabit.
The game will cover the anime’s narrative from beginning to end. Animation studio Mappa, which worked on Attack on Titan: The Final Season, is producing the opening animation. However, the sequence will not be available at launch and will arrive through a future update.
Attack on Titan 3 is scheduled to launch on 10 December for PlayStation five, Nintendo Switch two, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam. It will feature Japanese voice acting, with text support in nine languages, including English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Korean, traditional Chinese and simplified Chinese.
Players can also opt for the digital deluxe edition, which includes a digital artbook, character costumes, customisation items, an original equipment pack and a starter item pack. A physical SteelBook edition featuring Iconart will also be available.
The game follows Attack on Titan 2, which arrived in 2018, and its 2019 expansion, Attack on Titan 2: Final Battle. With the complete anime story now set to unfold in one game, the Scouts have one final battle to fight.
