Oculus Rift VR first set of pre-orders sold out

Facebook owned virtual reality company Oculus, said the Rift, the much-awaited virtual reality headset will be priced at $599.

Oculus Rift, will come bundled with the games Lucky’s Tale and EVE: Valkyrie will start shipping from March 28 to 20 countries, including Australia, Canada, Japan, the UK and the United States, the company said in a blog post on Wednesday.

Rift will also be available in limited locations at select retailers starting in April, according to the blog post.

The Rift box will include the headset with built-in headphones and mic, sensor and an Xbox One controller. Apart from these usual accessories, a new input device has been introduced Oculus Remote, which helps users navigate through the Oculus store or explore video content with a black track-pad and plus-minus buttons.

The company also said that bundles that include an Oculus Ready PC and a Rift would be available for preorder in February starting at $1,499.

Oculus promises that more than 100 virtual reality games and other experiences will be available by this year end. The first pre-orders for the Oculus have already been sold out in the first half an hour of its availability and next pre-orders will be starting soon.
