Anupam and Anshu Dhanuka, the founders of Curious Fingers want to gift an educational gaming app treat to the kiddies and with this aim, they’ve already created three games titled ‘Buzzle’ , ‘Feed the Animals’ and ‘Alex the Handyman’ and are presently working on their 4th one titled ‘ Animal Kinderland’.

This studio that is based in Mumbai and was jump-started 3 years ago is a sister company of Walnut Labs that delivers IOS applications.

Anupam was previously associated with Dolby LABS USA and currently is the CEO and Technology head at Curious Fingers whereas Anshu is the game producer and spearheads the concept creation area at the studio .Till date, the games of this studio have been a part of top 100 Educational games on the App Store.

Animal Kinderland’s game play, aimed at the kid auds between 2-6 years, circles around the game player getting a chance to have a fun time by playing with animal babies. The game allows you to select a set of animals and to highlight more on this, Anupam and Anushu share with AnimationXpress.com’s Zeenia Boatwala by saying, “We found that there were no games on App store that taught about animals. Through his game we want to nourish the child’s knowledge about animals with a pinch of excitement throughout every element of the game play.”

As the game progresses, the player will see an animal and will have to select it see whether it lays eggs or gives birth to babies. If an animal lays eggs, the player can tap on the eggs to hatch them and then play with the hatch-lings.

Adds more,” Players can tap on the baby animals and mother animal to experience fun and endearing animations.”

Around 3 months have been taken for Curious Fingers to develop this game and currently it is in its post production stages. For bringing out the game play, the team has researched varied you tube videos, animal websites, books along with researching on animals and their habitats

The mood setting of this game is composed with realistic, colorful, vivid and bright blend of textures and the animation is given a complete 2D treatment.

They inform more,” Getting the animation right was challenging as we wanted it to be fun for the kids. Earlier we used texture element on the animals also, but it was getting very difficult to animate with those textures. We had to re work on our animals to remove the textures and then animate them.

To be released within a month’s time as an IOS  and Android app, this game will be available as a free and paid app in which the free version would offer around 5 animals to play with whereas the paid gives out options of 20 various animals.

“We hope that the kids will find the game endearing, cute and it will make them happy and laugh. In pipeline are new exciting games, about animal homes, community helpers, pre school learning games and animated story books to name a few. “Concludes, Anupam and Anshu
