This weekend there will be a tough face off between Paramount’s Top Gun: Maverick, Disney’s Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and Universal Pictures’ Jurassic World Dominion. In its fifth weekend, Doctor Strange became the first film of 2022 to cross the $900 million mark at the worldwide box office.

According to the various box office predictions, Colin Trevorrow’s Jurassic World will manage to collect $325 million worldwide in its opening weekend. The film which is set to release on 10 June in US and Canada will gross at least $125 million from 4,600-plus theatre screens and another $120 million from other markets including China. The Jurassic franchise holds very strong box office records; in 2015 Jurassic Park collected $208 million in its opening weekend and ended its theatrical run with $1.6 billion worldwide.
