Mattson Tomlin completes script of film starring Keanu Reeves based on ‘BRZRKR’ comic series

The script for the upcoming Netflix film BRZRKR, starring Keanu Reeves, has been completed, according to screenwriter Mattson Tomlin.

Tomlin shared a picture of the title page of the BRZRKR script on his Twitter account. He posted a snapshot of what looks to be the last page of the script before sharing the image of the title page.

The movie will be based on the BRZRKR comic book series that Ron Garney and Keanu Reeves initially wrote and illustrated. Reeves defined the comic’s protagonist as “cursed by violence attempting to figure out who he is” in Hall H at San Diego Comic-Con 2022. In March 2021, the movie and a Netflix anime spinoff series were first introduced. Both the live-action movie and the anime series will have Reeves in the lead role as the titular character, also known as B.

The makers announced Tomlin as the screenwriter for the BRZRKR movie in October 2021. He has been able to achieve success through his recent projects, one of them being The Batman, starring Robert Patinson as the Batman which was directed by Matt Reeves. As of now, the film hasn’t approached any director to be on board. The BRZRKR film is set to be distributed by Netflix, but does not have a release date yet.
