Diamond Toons introduces ‘Little Chanakya’, a new character to fight coronavirus

India has given a tough fight against corona virus and now its children who have taken the bold step to come out of their homes. With an initiative of positively transitioning back to school, Diamond Toons has introduced a new character called Little Chanakya in Back to School Corona Comic Series. This special series of talking comic will be a useful tool for children as they resume school covering all the do’s and don’ts for children in this new corona world. It will help and inform them how to be safe and fight corona in their lives. The newest member Diamond Toons family, Little Chanakya is an intelligent, smart and fearless nine years old boy whose brain works faster than electricity and makes fast calculations in jiffy. Little Chanakya is little naughty as well but always ready to help others.

Diamond Toons director Manish Verma said, “The new post corona world is the new normal, so let’s prepare our kids to be safe and live their normal lives. To face this challenge, we have introduced Little Chanakya– Talking Comics – Back to School – corona special comics Series. These comics emphasis the major checkpoints of the school where a child would make a mistake during their school life from the corona protocol – bus, assembly, classroom, lunch break, free period. A combination of illustrations and text – making communication an effective behavioural change tool across all media platforms – print, social, activation, mobile and schools, libraries.”

Talking comic is a very effective medium to communicate leading behavioural change. The concept of talking comic connects with all the age groups, demographically, in terms of language variation and to spread awareness in an intelligent and quick-witted manner. The series has four titles – Little Chanakya and Back to School (Mask & Social Distancing), Little Chanakya and Handwash, Little Chanakya and Vaccination and Little Chanakya fight corona @ school (combined three in one comic) – mask, social distancing, hand wash, vaccination. The comic is translated into ten Indian languages.
