Talking to AnimationXpress.com Rajeev Pathak, Country Manager- M&E, Aditya Infotech shares, “Key Objective of having Malcolm Kesson to India is to drive Pixar RenderMan adoption in India. RenderMan is the leading high-end Cinematic renderer and has been behind the spectacular visuals of all major Visual Effects based Hollywood Feature films. Pixar‘s RenderMan has been used on every Visual Effects Academy Award winner in the past 15 Years. Malcolm‘s visit will cover Training at Studios for their Technical teams as well as Workshops for Studio professionals working in Animation & VFX houses to help them adopt and explore the power of Pixar RenderMan for their projects”.

Pixar has a RenderMan forum where professionals from all over the world interact, discuss, and submit and answer queries. According to Rajeev, the local Indian RenderMan Community Forum which will be launched during Keeson‘s visit would help Studio professionals using RenderMan and aspiring RenderMan professionals in India share ideas and queries. The Forum will also keep all members posted on future events around RenderMan in India, information on Training partners and there will be cool stuff like regular Contests with exciting rewards! The Forum will also help students undergoing RenderMan courses and Faculties of Partner Institutes to interact with Professionals.

“We will be working with some of the leading training Institutes for offering a RenderMan training programme. Malcolm‘s visit will also cover a Train the Trainers program and faculties of all partner Institutes will participate in the same. The specifically designed Curriculum and Courseware will be used in the Institutes”, Rajeev concludes.
