ASUS Plans to Expand Operations in India

The leading technology major ASUS has today announced its expansion plans in India.

ASUS has been in the Indian market since over 10 years now. It has been predominantly known in the Motherboard category. Lately it has also started being aggressive in end user products like notebooks and LCD monitors. In the Indian market ASUS is also present in the graphics cards, server solutions, networking products, Digital home products, Optical Disk Drives and many more 3C products.

The company plans to shift to a larger office in Mumbai in the first quarter of 2007.ASUS has decided to invest Rs. 10 Crore in the first phase of this expansion plan. According to Mr. Andrew Tsui, Managing Director ASUS India, “Our growth plans aim at the expansion of not just the office but also our capabilities of sales, marketing, service support and channel operations. Our new office will be the first step towards expanding our efficiency level to have a much stronger branding position in the India market.”

He further added, “The Indian market has been a very challenging one, and we being a leading technology company have thrived on challenges. Continuous improvement in infrastructure is the fundamental way to growth and expansion. ASUS is a progressive organization that believes in mutual benefit and growth.”

The year 2006 has been a very exciting year for business. A 100% growth is expected at the end of this year, and the company is optimistic about a 100% growth for the year 2007 as well. By introducing premium products in the Indian market like the ASUS Lamborghini VX1 notebook and the S6 Leather notebook, the company aims to establish itself as a premium technology vendor.
