Ittina Studios & Takshaa Animation School launched

nullManu Ittina, who has just recently returned from the US where he worked as character animator on movies like Shrek 2 & Madagascar today announced the launch of Ittina studios and Taksha Animation School at Bangalore.

Located at Whitefield, Bangalore, Ittina Studios boasts of state of the art equipment and has the capacity to house 100 artists. Initially Ittina will begin with 40 artists including well known professionals like award winning animation director Bill Miller and Ruturaj Arolkar.

Speaking to Animation ‘xpress, Bill Miller who has also worked extensively on movies such as Hercules, Mighty Joe young, Shrek 2 and Madagascar said that,”The studio houses some of the best talent from across the globe and our aim is to set an example in the field of animation and showcase to the world the superior quality of work that this studio is capable of producing

Simultaneous to the commencement of Ittina Studios is the launch of Ittina’s Takshaa Animation School in Bangalore.

“Christened TAKSHAA, after the ancient seat of learning Takshaasila, the school will be spread over an impressive 15,000 sq.ft. making it one of the largest computer animation schools in the country. A sprawling six storey building situated in Whitefield will house all modern amenities including a pool and a gymnasium and has the capacity for up to 250 students” remarked Manu.

“Students of Takshaa will be trained in various disciplines pertaining to animation, such as character animation, modeling, lighting, texturing, visual effects and games. Equal emphasis will be placed on the aesthetics and technical parts of animation. Takshaa will also provide courses such as visual language, art and film history, history of animation, drawing, sculpture colour theory etc. that supplement the main classes” he added.

�Computer Animation is first and foremost an art form. The computer is a tool, just like a paint brush is a tool for a painter. TAKSHAA will teach students the intricacies of the art, the secrets accumulated by our professionals through years of international experience� he further added.
