Stockholm-based Goodbye Kansas Entertainment Group today announced the launch of its new UK studio to help deliver their smorgasbord of talents and services to filmmakers, marketers and games developers across the UK and Worldwide.
Goodbye Kansas UK will be based in London and will lead by executive producer James Prosser (Moving Picture Company, ZOO) and executive director Martin Hobbs (Moving Picture Company, Prime Focus), alongside VFX supervisors Matt Kasmir (Nvizible, Cinesite) and Jesper Kjölsrud (Imagine Engine, Double Negative) and art director Rafael Morant (Bluebolt).
The newly-formed team have recently been hired to work on the upcoming movie ‘Suburbicon’, directed by George Clooney and written by the Coen Brothers. The film is a black comedy set in the 1950s and set for release in 2017.
The Goodbye Kansas Entertainment group is made up of Fido, Black Studios and Imagination Studios.
Fido provides services in the field of VFX and animation, specialising in digital characters and photorealistic animals for film, TV and commercials. Recent work includes the hit TV series ‘The Walking Dead’ and the internet sensation ‘Kung Fury’.
Black Studios produces in game cinematics and trailers for AAA game developers and publishers. Recent credits include acclaimed work for Mass Effect: Andromeda, Conan and Unravel. They also produced the award-winning Nike “Your Year” campaign for AKQA.
Imagination Studios provides professional motion capture, 3D animation and pre visualisation. The studio has contributed to the success of multiple AAA game titles including Battlefield, Dragon Age, God of War and the Hitman series.
