What started with a two-year-old and her dad’s playdates has grown into a global kids’ entertainment phenomenon. Genevieve’s Playhouse, a massively popular educational channel and children’s media brand that features toy-based learning, skits, and animated cartoons for toddlers and young children, is marking its 10th anniversary, with its playful storytelling now reaching families around the world across YouTube and Prime Video.
The channel was born from playtime between Genevieve and her dad, Robert Mann, when she was just two. A decade later, that living-room creativity has blossomed into a global brand, with the channel now ranking as the fourth kids’ show on Prime Video.
At the heart of Genevieve’s Playhouse is open-ended, imaginative play. Mann has shown parents how simple playtime can become a springboard for storytelling, creativity and connection, offering dads and mums a blueprint for joining their children’s imaginative worlds. The creativity runs in the family, too. Some of the characters featured on the channel were created by Genevieve herself, who is now 12.
The anniversary celebrations are not stopping at the screen. Alongside a new video compilation, Genevieve’s Playhouse has teamed up with Bonkers Toys for a new toy line inspired by the channel and its characters. The collection is available at Walmart, Target and Amazon, bringing the playhouse from the screen to the toy shelf.
The channel’s global footprint has also grown considerably. Its Hindi-language channel alone has amassed 25 million subscribers and counting, underlining the brand’s reach across international audiences.
