India’s indie gaming scene is ready to hit play. GamingCon Bharat 2026 is bringing 20 Indian indie games into the spotlight through Indieverse, giving homegrown developers a dedicated stage to put their worlds, stories and playable ideas in front of gamers and the wider industry.
The showcase, presented in partnership with GameDev India, will run alongside GamingCon Bharat on 17 and 18 October at Nesco Mumbai. The 2026 edition marks the third year of GameDev India’s Indieverse collaboration with GamingCon.
Indieverse is designed to put the spotlight on emerging Indian developers, with selected titles receiving complimentary booth space at the event. The showcase is aimed at connecting indie creators with players, publishers, media and other industry stakeholders, turning the expo floor into something of a launchpad for India’s next crop of game makers.
The line-up spans a mix of indie concepts and genres, reflecting the breadth of games being developed by India’s smaller studios and independent creators. Rather than playing it safe, these titles are expected to put creativity, experimentation and storytelling front and centre.
And there is plenty more on the GamingCon Bharat menu. The 2026 festival will bring together gaming, esports, creators, technology, cosplay and industry discussions, with the organisers expecting more than 20,000 consumers, 150 brands and 2,000 business visitors.
The conference programme will also dig into the business and creative questions shaping the sector, from building global gaming IP and the impact of AI on development to careers, the creator economy and the evolving indie game landscape.
