The upcoming anime Tank Chair has revealed more cast and production details alongside a new promotional video, with the series set to premiere on 4 October 2026.
Based on the manga by Manabu Yashiro, Tank Chair follows Nagi Taria, a powerful warrior protecting his younger sister from a gunshot. Nagi has a unique condition: he awakens when he is targeted with an intent to kill. His sister Shizuka Taria therefore takes him on a dangerous journey against powerful opponents in the hope of helping him fully recover.
The anime is being produced by Polygon Pictures, with Tadahiro (Tady) Yoshihira serving as director, series composition writer and screenwriter. Hiroaki Ando is also directing and handling the screenplay, while Yuki Moriyama is responsible for character designs and Kazuma Teshigahara for production design. Masaru Yokoyama is composing the music.
The main cast includes Koki Uchiyama as Nagi, Minori Fujidera as Shizuka, Gakuto Kajiwara as Naozumi Kurosaka. Naozumi is Nagi’s former classmate and rival, while Touko is Naozumi’s younger sister and battle partner.
The series is adapted from Yashiro’s manga, which is currently serialised in Kodansha’s Monthly Shonen Sirius. The manga has surpassed one million copies in cumulative circulation and has developed an international following.
Polygon Pictures, known for its CG animation work, is handling the production. The studio has previously worked on projects including Knights of Sidonia, and Kaina of the Great Snow Sea.
