Marvel Comics’ new limited series ‘Multiversity: Harley Screws Up the DCU’ to release in 2023

A new limited comic series called Multiversity: Harley Screws Up the DCU features Harley Quinn on the verge of ruining the entire DC Universe.

Multiversity: Harley Screws Up the DCU is a new six-issue limited series from writers Frank Tieri and Logan Faerber that was revealed during the DC’s Gotham City panel at New York Comic Con. The creators have not released much information about the limited series but it is said to debut in March 2023. DC teased the comic by saying, “This series is shaping up to be a roller coaster ride from start to finish, and Harley wouldn’t have it any other way!” Harley sways while standing around a range of DC iconography, including a shattered Batmobile, the Death of Superman cape blowing in the wind, a ruined Helmet of Nabu, and more, in cover art by Faerber that was unveiled during the panel. Cover art will also be created by renowned Harley Quinn artist Amanda Conner. DC Comics also shared the same announcement via their official Twitter account.

Time travel will play a part in the next title’s plot, Tieri hinted during the presentation. In the story, Harley returns to Coney Island and learns that she has inherited a time machine. She unknowingly returns to a changed version of the present, where Starro the Conqueror is in charge of the DC Universe, after using the gadget to make a brief trip back in time. Due to the sheer severity of the timeline disruption, all of DC’s heroes’ formative origin stories have been screwed up. As a result, Harley needs to figure out how to reverse the chronological disaster.

However, as demonstrated in the promotional artwork, Harley will have much to play around with across the DC Universe, particularly after Dark Crisis on Infinite Earths when the publisher enters a new era of publication known as the Dawn of the DCU.
