How gaming and esports companies celebrated Diwali

Lights, fireworks, rangoli, mithai and gaming completes the Diwali celebration. Due to advancement of technology gaming sector has expanded to esports, game streaming and more. Therefore, today playing games is equally popular to watching game streaming or esports online and with Diwali the excitement gets doubled. 

We have reached out to a few Indian gaming and esports companies to know how they have celebrated the festival of lights.With the purpose to entertain  people some were working through Diwali and some celebrated on full swing.

Nextwave Multimedia co-founder and CEO P R Rajendran said, “It has been a very busy pre-Diwali for us. And it is going to be busy during and post Diwali. The big news is that WCC3 mega update is set to release on Diwali day if no last minute unexpected hurdles. We also have Redbull esports tournament going on during Diwali, plus few other esports tournaments.”

“This Diwali we at GameEon Studios are very excited for IGDC 2021 as we are going to showcase our game Mumbai Gullies. A lot of amazing stuff also planned for my YouTube channel. Wishing everyone a very happy Diwali,” said GameEon founder Nikhil Malankar.

Wayu Digital Studio founder and creative director Dinesh Sehgal said, “Since everyone is working from home so there is not much happening at studio. But we have kept a rangoli competition everyone is supposed to make a unique rangoli at home and the winner has got some gift hamper!”

Through the occasion of Diwali, we shared the feeling of togetherness and we hoped to continue our journey to success with this impeccable team bonding.”

Ultimate Battle founder Tarun Gupta  said, “Diwali is a grand festive season and has a great significance in the workplace as a celebratory occasion. At Ultimate Battle, we decorated the office with lights, diyas, and rangoli. Adding to the celebratory feeling, we organised a lunch party with the whole team followed by an ethnic day. Celebrating festivities keeps the team motivated and gives a feeling of home. Adding some fun parts to it, we all played and competed with each other in different esports titles for a few hours and had a great quality time which eventually results in greater team bonding.”
