The TBS Digicon prize ceremony was included within the Frameflixx proceedings and the prizes and certificates for the 14 winners including professionals and students were also handed over at the function. A word and more to be reserved for the magnetic manner in which host Mohan Kapur held the longish ceremony alive with his compering.
The day‘s proceedings began with the lighting of the lamp at the hands of the Chief Guest Manmohan Shetty. Rajesh Turakhia, founder of the company began stating, “The last fifteen months in my life have been the most exciting and a great award as well. To say about running fifty centers in such a short span of time in cricketing terms, we have hit the fastest fifty in the industry.”
Speaking to Animationxpress, Rajesh Turakhia shared “The important aspect of making a film is team work and the idea was to make students learn to work as a team. The response from the participants has been fantastic and it is heartening to see such creativity among them in their films.”
Before the Frameflixx animation awards for the best movie were announced was the screening of the 2d animation movie “Ek Chidia”. The surprise screening in the function was a glimpse of its 3d version that is being done by Frameboxx as a dedication to animation.
Naveen Gupta shared “There were quite a few things that we wanted to achieve through this competition. We wanted to inculcate the competitive spirit and to work in a team among the students right in the early stages. This was a nice platform to showcase their talent and also understand the industry workflow in making a movie.”
All the short films screened were outstanding in more than one way or the other either in terms of the modeling, 3D animation, concept and direction giving a perfect start to the 1st Annual Frameflixx Awards.
