Puli is an upcoming Indian Tamil action-adventure fantasy film written and directed by Chimbu Deven, featuring Illayathalapathy Vijay in a dual role alongside an ensemble cast that includes Sudeep, Prabhu, Sridevi, Shruti Haasan, Hansika Motwani and Nandita.
Produced by Vijay’s public relations officer Selvakumar, the project has music composed by Devi Sri Prasad, Natarajan Subramaniam as cinematographer and has T Muthuraj as Production Designer. After beginning pre-production works in early 2013, the film began its shoot in November 2014. The film is set to be released on 17 September 2015.
The teaser of the movie which was unveiled on 21 June, 2015 has crossed 6.1 Million views. Sun TV bagged the satellite rights for a whopping price of Rs22 crore.
R C Kamalakannan is handling the visual effects for the movie. Manish Malhotra, Deepali Noor, Chaitanya Rao, Siva and Sai are the five costume designers who have worked on the movie. The movie also features four stunts man namely Sang Lin, Pradit Seeluem, Sunil Rodrigues and Dilip Subbarayan. Sony Music bagged the rights for the audio and currently the movie is in its post-production phase.
By the initial buzz and look of the movie it certainly seems to be making all the right noise, although in terms of the teaser video, there could have been a lot more that the makers should have revealed to give a hint of the storyline.
