In order to get to know the people who make the AVGC industry work, we at AnimationXpress thought of going beyond the usual. Thus, taking you into the professional lives of creators is our new video series ‘The Creator’s Den’, where you will get to see people live in action.
The Creator’s Den series takes you into the workspace of some of the leading animation and comics artists in the country, as they open up on how they convert a small kernel of an idea to beautiful imagery that catches our fancies. Our third artist is the creator of ‘Simpoo’ – Vaibhav Kumaresh, he shares his journey and how he actually got the inspiration of creating the affable character of ‘Simpoo’ which also got commissioned by Channel [V] India at a later stage.
Having the passion for always doing something innovative, he got enrolled with NID in Ahmedabad for a course in advanced animation and had never slowed down ever since. He also had a stint with Famous Studios in Mumbai, before staring his very own venture and having worked on innumerable TVCs over the last many years.
In this exclusive interaction with AnimationXpress.com, he opens up on how important is it top hone one’s basic skill-set before actually getting into the creation business. He also points out the importance of observing things around you to draw inspiration for creating your characters for your story.
