Shah Rukh Khan encourages kids to play all sorts of games

The ‘Baadshah of Bollywood’ has forever been known to be a great sport not only on screen but off it as well. The actor is well known for his love for games, be it outdoor or indoor, it now appears that he’s also become an addict of playing the latest games on the mobile platform.

At a recent event in the city, the ‘Happy New Year’ team had gathered to celebrate the success of the movie’s adaptation into a mobile game created by Vroovy (A JV between Hungama and Gameshastra).

Addressing the gathering the actor said: “I would like to say that kids should be encouraged to play all sort of games, India as a country is very young and we all should be proud of the fact that we have companies like Hungama who are really thinking out of the box and creating games which are both great to play and great to look at.”

The tech savvy actor keeps himself up-to-date when it comes to tech-related matters. He is also up for a challenge with many friends from the fraternity. “Even on the sets of ‘Happy New Year’ Farah had a tough time getting all of us together for a shot, as we would be busy kicking each other’s butts at FIFA,” revealed the actor.

SRK is an ardent gamer and spends quite a lot of time playing games. One of his favourite games is Batman: Arkham Origins. “When I was young, I used to ask my father whether I could go nearby to my friend’s place to play, and he would say: ‘At your age we used to climb over hills bare foot’ that is the kind of spirit I have been brought up with,” the actor emotionally informed.

King Khan has always been a supporter of all kinds of sports, to the extent he even acquired a cricket team in the IPL when the money spinning tourney was taking baby steps in 2008. “Gaming is an important market and is still in its nascent stages in India, but I am certain with more and more studios creating games and the ecosystem also growing the future for gaming is bright in the country,” he ended.

Well, it certainly seems like the actor is putting his money where the mouth is and has high expectations from the gaming community in India.
