The seventh installment of the Star Wars franchise that went on to become the highest grossing film in the franchise, Star Wars: The Force Awakens will now be seen in the video game format just like its counterparts.
Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, TT Games, The Lego Group and Lucasfilm announced Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens game that’s set to launch on 28 June. The game will allow players to re-create the action sci-fi film and introduce new gameplay mechanics to build, battle and fly through the galaxy far far away. As per the announcement, new story content will link Star Wars: Return Of The Jedi with the Disney film, providing additional insight about the new movie and its characters.
Disney’s Lucasfilm, VP of digital business and franchise management, Ada Duan said, “Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens allows players to experience the new film in a unique way that only TT Games can provide, combining signature humor with epic Star Wars action.”
Characters like Rey, Finn, Poe Dameron, Han Solo, Chewbacca, C-3PO, and BB-8, along with Kylo Ren, General Hux and Captain Phasma will be seen in the video game franchise. The game also explores locales such as Jakku and Starkiller Base. As seen in the trailer, we can expect the game to have more than the dark side and will feature a humourous side of the Star Wars universe.

The game will be available for PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo platforms as well as Windows PC from 28 June. The pricing of the game is yet to be revealed.
