Red and gang is ready to take on Pigs in the new Angry Birds Movie trailer

We have already seen a few trailers for The Angry Birds Movie before but as the release date comes closer Sony Pictures Entertainment and Rovio have released a new trailer gives more insight in to what’s in store for the audience come 20 May 2016.

Titled The Angry Birds Movie, the trailer majorly revolves around a single angry bird – Red, who is angry and upset about everything. But this anger will help him realise that the visitors (Pigs) to his island are upto something suspicious and along with other two birds Bomb and Chuck, he has to rescue to his island from these vicious green creatures.

The official description of the movie reads: The movie takes us to an island populated entirely by happy, flightless birds — or almost entirely. In this paradise, Red (Jason Sudeikis), a bird with a temper problem, speedy Chuck (Josh Gad), and the volatile Bomb (Danny McBride) have always been outsiders. But when the island is visited by mysterious green piggies, it’s up to these unlikely outcasts to figure out what the pigs are up to.

Directed by Fergal Reilly and Clay Kaytis, the three (Sudeikis, Gad and McBride) are joined by Peter Dinklage, Maya Rudolph, Bill Hader, Keegan-Micheal Key and many for the voices.

Originally released for Apple iOS back in 2009, Angry Birds, from Finnish game developer Rovio Entertainment, was the 51st game from the studio and changed how one viewed mobile games from that point. Since then Rovio has released 15 games around the Angry Birds franchise and seen a total of more than 3 billion downloads worldwide.

Rovio has a lot on the line with this movie. Although, the games are among the Top Free category across different app stores, the grossing numbers are nowhere near the Top 10 games currently listed. If the movie does not get the registers ringing at the box office, Rovio will need to re-think as how the Angry Birds will make audience happy again.
