Nazara Games ropes in Anuj Tandon as head of mobile game publishing and corporate branding

Mobile game publishing company Nazara Games has today announced the appointment of Anuj Tandon as the new head of Mobile game publishing and corporate branding.  Anuj was the ex-co-founder and COO of the award winning Indian gaming company Rolocule Games which developed games like Dead Among Us and Motion Tennis.

Anuj has worked as business analyst in India and UK for Infosys before he co-founded Rolocule Games. He is a hardcore mobile gamer and a technology enthusiast who quickly grew Rolocule Games into one of the most well known game development studios in India that counts CIIE, Mumbai Angels and Blume Ventures as its investors.

Commenting on the new appointment the Nazara Games, CEO,  Manish Agarwal said, “Anuj is one of the experts of the Indian mobile gaming industry and we are thrilled to have him onboard. With his vast experience in building the product & marketing vertical, we believe he will be an asset and will help continue the future success for Nazara Games as we continue to deliver quality content to the users.”  He added, “His achievements in the previous organizations have made us confident that we will deeply benefit from his invaluable technical and management expertise”

Anuj Tandon on his new appointment said, “The vision to be India’s biggest mobile game publisher is what has brought me here. There is a tremendous opportunity to drive growth in gaming for Indian consumers and Nazara is best placed to make it happen. I am excited to work with Manish and Nitish who I have known and respected over a period of time.”

Anuj will be looking after the publisher – developer relations at Nazara and handling the B2B relations for Nazara games on Google, Apple and other platforms along with key marketing and product aspects of the company. With the ZeptoLab’s Cut the Rope partnership with Nazara, Anuj plans to bring in more global games and localise the content for the Indian market. He will take charge of his office starting 1 December and will be based out of the Mumbai HQ of Nazara Games.

Nazara has been on an aggressive growth path in the last three months, apart from adding key people in its core team, it is now attracting global gaming IPs such as Cut the Rope to publish in India and also popular Indian IPs like Chhota Bheem to develop games like Chhota Bheem Run and Chhota Bheem Race, of which later had topped the charts on Google Play Store and Apple App Store last week.
