‘MSG: The Messenger’ on the verge of entering Rs 100 crore club; Igene Entertainment delivers VFX

Saint Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan’s (SGRRSJI) debut film has not just got him to a high pedestal but also made him come closer to all his fans and followers. The critics may have panned every aspect of the film but audiences seem to not be able to get over the film. Reports inform that the film has earned close to Rs 89.29 crore in the first six days of its release. The film, which is entering into the second week, will surely be able to cross the Rs 100 crore line in the next few days.

SGRRSJI has not just acted in the film, but also written, directed and composed the songs for it. The film may have got a lot of opposition before its release but with these astounding figures its sure to seal their lips as well. The movie has struck a chord with the audiences. Fans seem to have a taken a special liking for SGRRSJI’s rockstar avatar.

There is a load of VFX shots that have been used in this movie, these have been delivered by the Chennai based VFX house Igene Entertainment. In ‘MSG: The Messenger’, the Dera chief is seen tackling the drug menace, among other crimes, in the country. In one of the scenes, he is shown taking on people who are attacking his ashram. In another, he is shown flying through the air and fighting off 100 sword-wielding attackers and taking them out with just a single punch.

After a spat with the Censor Board, ‘MSG: The Messenger’ released in more than 4,000 screens across the country last Friday. In fact, all nine daily screenings of the film at the PVR outlet in Delhi’s Select Citywalk were completely booked in advance, and there had been three lakh bookings across PVR outlets in Delhi-NCR.

2015 has gone off to a brilliant start with Akshay Kumar’s Baby crossing the Rs 100 crore mark and now MSG: The Messenger racing fast towards the coveted mark. Yes you read that right!
