Monster Entertainment closes a raft of sales for science-based children’s shows

Monster Entertainment has signed a raft of deals for their science-based children’s series Earth to Luna! and LAB-Ra-Kazam.

Earth to Luna! has recently been sold CNC Media International for home video rights in South Korea, Radio Television Hong Kong for broadcast TV Rights in Hong Kong, Horng En Culture for DVD and VOD rights in Taiwan, Hopster for SVOD rights while Emirates and Azul Brazilian Airlines have picked up inflight rights.

The series has a total of 104 episodes over four seasons with a fifth season in production and a sixth one planned. Previous broadcast sales have included CJENM Korea, ČESKÁ Czech Republic, TG4 Ireland, Discovery MENA, Discovery Latin America, Netflix and Sprout.

LAB-Ra-Kazam has recently been acquired by PCCW Media for SVOD rights in Hong Kong and Macao and by beJunior for PayTV and VOD rights in MENA. LAB-Ra-Kazam premiered in the US on Generation Genius, a new subscription streaming platform made in partnership with the National Science Teachers Association that brings school science topics to life through fun, funny, entertaining and educational videos, and Earth to Luna! is an animated series all about Luna, a six-year-old girl who is completely, undeniably and passionately into just one thing: science!

Each episode finds Luna, her little brother, Jupiter and her pet ferret, Clyde in search of answers to their many questions. Earth to Luna! was created by TV PinGuim, an animation company based in Brazil, founded in 1989. TV PinGuim is known for the creation and development of targeted education cartoons for children, with use of 2D, 3D and stop motion animation. The company initially began producing shorts for education channels, and since 2009 has been developing television series, such as Earth to Luna!

LAB-Ra-Kazam’s Dr. Jeff, also known as The Dancing Scientist, is known to millions for his popular YouTube videos and television appearances. Dr. Jeff is joined by assistants Zoe, Izzy and Bert the Robot to explore the amazing world of science through epic experiments and adventures. Each episode explores a real world problem to find a scientific solution, even featuring a hands-on Do-It-Yourself segment. 36 x 12′ episodes cover a wide variety of subjects targeting ages six to 11. LAB-Ra-Kazam makes science make sense!
