In addition to Marvel announcing its entire Phase 3 line-up, the studio also unveiled a new clip from “Avengers: Age of Ultron” during Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD.
The latest video shows the Avengers hanging out in Tony Stark’s penthouse throwing back beers and blowing off steam. Of course, this being the Avengers, their idea of a party game is a pretty different, taking turn trying to lift Thor’s hammer. The scene is followed by the first Avengers: Age of Ultron trailer that was launched last week and reveals how the Avengers must reassemble to defeat Ultron (James Spader) a terrifying technological rival hell-bent on human extinction.
The Avengers was a 2012 American superhero film which was based on the Marvel Comics superhero team of the same name, produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. It was the sixth instalment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The film grossed over $1.518 billion worldwide and was the highest-grossing film in 2012.
The film has been written and directed by Joss Whedon and features Robert Downey, Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Don Cheadle, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Bettany, Cobie Smulders, James Spader, and Samuel L. Jackson.
In October 2014, Marvel announced a two-part sequel to Age of Ultron, titled Avengers: Infinity War. Part 1 which is scheduled to be released on 4 May, 2018, with Part 2 scheduled for 3 May, 2019.
