National Award winning filmmaker Ketan Mehta interacted with a bunch of students from Whistling Woods International (WWI) on the Art and Technique of Animation. The session was conducted as part of the 5th VEDA- a cultural hub initiated by Subhash Ghai and WWI to develop artistic skills of the students of every discipline.
A student team presented an audio visual footage on the evolution of animation. “There is no limit to the power of animation, so try not to contain your creativity,” said Ketan Mehta, a pioneer of animation industry in India. Ketan had illustrations and demonstrations interspersed with his film clips made at Maya Digital Studios, owned by him.
Ketan encouraged the students to take up animation as today was the best time to begin a career in it. “We are in a constant digitally evolving world. Animation is like an exciting journey which puts life in an inanimate thing, therefore turning an impossible thing into possible,” he said.
