Justice dawns as DC Comics releases the first look of Batman v Superman – Dawn of Justice

Folks, it is finally out, the first teaser promo of Zack Synder’s Batman v Superman – Dawn of Justice.  Although Zack tweeted on Thursday announcing the IMAX screening of the first teaser on Monday and driving the fans crazy, a leaked mobile video of the heavily guarded clip stirred Warner Bros. and the 300 director to drop an early release for the most eagerly awaited superhero flick. The tent-pole Batman v Superman – Dawn of Justice ( releasing on 24 March 2016) is not merely a sequel to the Superman reboot Man of Steel (2013) but for DC comic fans, the blockbuster is another chance to relish the caped crusader, Batman on the big-screen after Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight franchise which had Christian Bale don the Bat-suit. Also what makes Batman v Superman’s a must watch lies in the name itself. So if you thought Zack (300, Watchmen, Sucker Punch) had reached his limit in delivering some breath-taking visuals and stunning actions sequences in the previous Man of Steel where our Kryptonian hero beats his nemesis, Captain Zod, brace yourselves!  Batman v Superman will be loosely based on Frank Miller’s comic  The Dark Knight Returns will not only re-introduce the Dark Knight into the DC universe but also making Superman “Bleed” as both these titans are about to clash in the upcoming epic which will set the stage for the officially announced Justice League movies in DC Comics’ pipeline.  Here’s your first tidbit to DC Comics’ resurrected cinematic universe spawning some of the best superheroes the comic publisher has been harboring over the ages including the likes of Wonder Woman and Aqua Man who will also be featuring in the upcoming tent-pole.

Far from being Metropolis’ favourite, Superman still remains a controversy to the world where some see him as a God descended but others like his arch-enemy Lex Luthor tag him as the devil from the sky. Batman v Superman takes place two years after the events of Man of Steel where Superman unintentionally tore down half of Metropolis in defeating Zod and drew more than welcoming attention. The teaser starts off with the Superman comic’s favorite debate of whether the world can trust the most powerful man in the red cape as a savior or whether he must leave the human race alone. Jesse Eisenberg’s Lex Luthor voices his opinion plainly, “Devils don’t come from the hell beneath us, they come from the sky.”  Staying true to comics, guesses are Luthor convinces the folks at Metropolis for we hear chants of “Go Home” and “False God” bloodily scratched on a Superman Greek-God constructed statue. The two minute footage also has Jeremy Irons’ Alfred council our angered Bruce Wayne, (Ben Affleck’s doing a wonderful job here) as he says, “That’s how it starts, the fever, the rage, the feeling of powerlessness that turns good men, cruel.”

And finally we get what we will be paying for, some brilliantly crafted sequences of Gotham drenched in rain and beholding the arena for the most anticipated clash between Gotham’s vigilante, Batman and the rising Sun, Superman. Superman fans beware as Ben Affleck’s Batman has already voiced his intention in his disguising, guttural voice, uttering “Tell me, do you bleed….You will!”

Batman v Superman – Dawn of Justice releases on 24 March 2016.
