IndiaJoy kicks off in Hyderabad with Indywood Film Carnival

The much anticipated  India’s biggest media and entertainment expo, IndiaJoy has finally kicked off. The very first day unveiled the fourth edition of Indywood Film Carnival at the HITEX Convention Centre Hyderabad.

Since IndiaJoy has kicked off, it has opened the platform for building opportunities for corporations, studios, content developers, delegates, consumers, hardware manufacturers and students; as a lot of foreign investors are hunting for investments in India.

Unlike other years this time Indywood Film Carnival is expected to accelerate the growth of the Indian film industry through materialising big-budget movie projects, co-production ventures and B2B meet generating business worth Rs500 crore.

At today’s inaugural of Indywood Film Carnival a lot of industry veterans and foreign delegates from the industry around the world were present aiming to revolutionise our country’s entertainment industry. Not only that, with the event, $10billion worth Indywood project has been pushed further with the Kerala and Dubai  club chapters.

Project Indywood founder director Sohan Roy opined that Indian film Industry should come forward to conceive and implement big-budget international projects instead of following clichéd subjects’ treatment and pattern.

Roy further says in his inaugural speech that, “Our country is blessed with talented actors and technicians. The natural next step is to deploy these talents and concentrate on making movies which appeal to the international audience. Baahubali is a perfect example. The movie industry will fetch huge gains if we increase the number of international projects by using advanced technology and worldwide distribution. Indywood Film Carnival is an attempt to educate stakeholders about the importance of such projects. The entire industry, including actors, technicians, producers and distributors apart from State/Union Governments should come forward to support this initiative.”

The main attraction of the film Carnival is All Lights India International Film festival which has been receiving participation of films from different parts of India in different languages like English, Bengali, Malayalam, Hindi, Urdu, Tamil, Marathi, Telegu, while the festival sections include International competition and National competition.  Indywood billionaires Meet, Indywood Academy Awards, Indywood Telly Awards, Indywood Fashion Premier and All lights India International Film Festival are the main segments of attraction for 2018.

This year the viewers will be witnessing the screening of feature films, a long list of must-watch short films and documentaries from across the world also the movies from this year’s  Oscar race too.

Starting from today the Indywood Film Carnival has opened a platform for the youth to showcase their talent as the industry is always in need of fresh talent. There are several categories where the youngsters can participate from animation movie making to children’s short film to short filmmaking to designing and many more.

Proceeding further on the first day of Indywood Film Carnival was the Indywood Acadamy Awards. It focused on honouring the niche yet creative talent in the industry with awards which Roy emphasised as ‘Indian Oscar’. The awards category comprised of segments from best lyrics to best actor in 2017-2018 of which Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmavat has bagged the best visual effects award.

The day one of IndiaJoy ends with the showcasing of the cultural Bharatnatyam performance and  DJ war.
