FX School Surat Announces Free Seminar Tomorrow on ‘Explosive Careers in the World of Digital Media’

To be held at FX School Surat itself, this seminar cum interactive session is open for 15+ aged auds and the prime motive behind this seminar is to spread the awareness on the latest happenings in the world of animation and media and entertainment at Surat.

At this seminar, FX School Surat will also be announcing new September batches on Photography, Filmmaking, Visual Effects, CG Animation and Digital Art.

Speaking to AnimationXpress.com’s Zeenia Boatwala about FX School, CB Arun Kumar- Academic Director, says, “FX School has been looking to expand for some time now, but had not found the right partners. The choice of Surat as the location for our first franchise was made primarily because we felt, for the first time, that we had found the right partners who share our vision, passion and commitment to providing quality education & training in the field of Digital Media.”

Present at this seminar will be the Heads of Department and Senior Faculty members from FX School Mumbai, Atanu Roy, Technical Director- VFX and CG Animation, Dnyaneshwar Jagdale- Art Director, Digital Art, and Mazdiar Santoke – Senior VFX Faculty and they all are gearing up to deliver the nuts and bolts of animation and visual effects in the entertainment world.

A much closer look at the career graph and expertise of these experts show us that, Atanu Roy comes with 17 years experience in CG and Visual Effects Industry, has been associated with Prana Studios, Pixion, Pentamedia, Blowfishfx Limited, Fat Lizard Entertainment and Maya Entertainment Ltd, was a lighting Lead on feature films Dungeons and Dragons, Belka Strelka, and Mangal Pandey; TV Shows the BBC’s The Tale of Jack Frost – nominated for the Children’s BAFTA along with games Disney Princess and The Cat in the Hat.

So what would be Atanu’s plan of action for this seminar, we hear it from Atanu himself and he says, “After having played different roles in the entertainment industry, I am now at a place where I can devote my energies into research and development for solutions to modern industry needs. In this seminar, I am going to talk about the synergy of CG tools and visual effects in film and media.”

The next speaker, Dnyaneshwar Jagdale, since 19 years, is contributing to this industry, has worked with companies Millimages in Paris, Millitoons and Crest Communication and been a lecturer at the Lalit Kala Kendra as well as a Professor at Whistling Woods International. Over the years, Dnyaneshwar has worked on numerous award winning projects including the “The Red Fox” which was awarded a BAFTA award for Best Children’s serial in the year 2000 and he also happily shares his vision for this seminar,

“I’m very excited at this opportunity to reach out to the young, creative people in Surat. I want to share my knowledge about the role of Digital Art in the media and entertainment industry and make them aware about the latest digital tools that can help them create inspiring concept art.”

Mazdiar Santoke, brings with him an experience of 7 years and has been associated with production houses Prime Focus, Eye cube and Reliance Media Works and feature films Guru, Shootout at Lokhandwala, Welsome, Chandni Chowk to China, Love Story 2050, Blue, as a VFX artist along with Hollywood films Tron Legacy, Moby Dick, 28 Weeks Later, Agent Crush and international TV serials. His key strengths circle around BG Preparation and compositing CG with Live Action footage.

Mazdiar indicates his aim for this seminar by informing, “In today’s competitive field of media and entertainment, VFX is an inseparable component of the movies that we see today. I feel privileged to be playing an important role in FX School, a place that has revolutionized digital film making education in the country.”
