Fenil Comics adds ‘Secret Agent OM’ to its ever growing character library

Being one of the biggest fans of Hindi comics, Fenil Sherdiwala, Founder, Fenil comics started developing new characters for his comics in 2010 with an aim to bring a fresh breath of air in the comic space and also to his readers with newly designed superheroes.

With more than 36 comic characters in already developed, the company is launching its new comic Secret Agent Om later this year. Faulaad, Blackgold, Crimefighter are some of their most read comics in India.

“I have been a comics fan since my childhood. 1972’s Indo- Pak war inspired me to create a new comic series on a secret agent. Initially Secret Agent Om was planned for a 2013 release but later we added many aspects to the book and also reworked on the artwork, causing a delay. Om is the central character of this comic book. He is completely different from other superheroes. He is a secret agent with no superpower,” said Fenil to AnimationXpress.com.

The script has been written and edited by Fenil himself, prelude illustrations by Dildeep Singh and completed by Abhishek Vishwa, whereas the colouring has been handled by Naval Thanawala. It follows the journey of the secret agent Om who is on a mission to destroy terrorism in the world. In this journey he will face some of the deadliest terrorists as the story progresses.

The book has been written in a style that will target an audience between the age group of 14 to 60+ years. “Our online store at fenilcomics.com is under construction and we shall launch both the book and store together. Book will be made available at all leading book stands in the country as well. As it will be in Hindi we are targeting North India book stands predominently. On the other side we shall make it available on leading online stores like Flipkart, Amazon, Infibeam, Raj Comics online store and of course fenilcomics online store,” Fenil expounded.

There are three more volumes in the pipeline. The book consists of 32 pages and has been priced at Rs 50.  Secret Agent Om will be available in E-comic format on Fenil Comic’s app for Android and iOS devices as well. There will be 5,000 copies printed in the first edition.

“In future, we will be launching android games and t-shirts. We are also working on our Jasoos Balram TV series (based on our comic book character Jasoos Balram) and a short movie on our most loved comic character Faulaad,” revealed Fenil.
