Clashers get one more reason to fight as ClashCon to make its debut this October

Conventions have become a norm these days as each popular product have got some or the other ‘cons’ happening in the world. It was only a matter of time before Supercell Games announced a con for its very popular game Clash of Clans. The multi-billion dollar game is to have its own convention in October and will be called ClashCon.

As the name suggests, ClashCon is going to be, well, a convention where Clash of Clans from all around the world can unite and celebrate.

“The first of its kind, ClashCon unites Clashers from around the world like never before,” Supercell teased. “Join us soon in Helsinki, Finland for this Hogriding, Wall Breaking, rabbit tossing spectacular.”

Details for the convention are scarce but one thing is clear that the focus of it will fully focus on Clash of Clans. Also, company would be showcasing some of its other popular games like Hay Day and Boom Beach.

ClashCon will be held in Helsinki, Finland on 24 October, 2015. Tickets go live next Saturday (i.e 5 days from today) for the highly anticipated convention. Prices for the tickets have not been announced, but ClashCon website says tickets “won’t be available for long” after they go on sale.

Earlier this month, Clash of Clans received a massive update which saw major changes in the game and also introduction to new spell factory, the “Dark Spell Factory”. This new update introduced new Dark Spells, a new Dragon level, and a massive overhaul to the competitive multiplayer.

Moreover, the game’s interface was also improved. New quick tabs were added to make some explorations easier. The Clan Chat can now be filtered by adjusting its settings and more languages are now supported with the addition of Arabic and Traditional Chinese.

This is not the first of the conventions that is happening for a specific game, Blizzard has its annual convention Blizzcon which celebrates Blizzard’s many popular franchises such as Warcraft, Diablo and StarCraft. The pixelated world of Minecraft too has its own convention, MineCon which sees a huge turnout every year. This is a fan convention celebrating the blockbuster sandbox building game.
