Tricon Films & Television, the Toronto based production and distribution company, has appointed Emmy Award-winning producer Christine Davis as its director of animation production. This move comes with a view to encourage its Kids and Family branch which consists of various current shows like WilderNuts, Shutterbugs, The Next Star and so on.
With a pool of experience from the past, Davis has worked on a number of entertaining kids’ series like Arthur, Justin Time and Anne of Green Gables. She has also worked for a number of local production companies including 9 Story Media Group, Guru Studio and Cuppa Coffee and holds more than 20 years of industry experience across all animation formats. She won the Emmy Award for her work on pre-school children’s animated show Peg+Cat broadcasted on PBS.
Christine Davis recently served as the founding partner of boutique animation consulting company, Animated Solutions. Now at Tricon Films & Television, Davis will overlook the production in the animation genre as Tricon has developed a slate of animated series for various major players in the recent past.
