Channing Tatum and Rihanna, top choices for Mark Millar’s next comic based movie

Rihanna who was earlier reported to join the cast of Luc Besson’s comic based movie Valerian that’s set to release next year, might star in yet another comic adapted movie. The writer who has written some great stories for the big screen like Wanted, Kingsman and the upcoming Captain America: Civil War, Mark Millar is once again set to enthrall his audiences.

His most recent work, Huck series published by Image Comics which is set to release tomorrow i.e. 18 November, has been picked up by Studio 8 to turn it into a feature film. With Millar’s previous comic adapted movies turning out to be profitable, it’s not a big surprise that his yet to be released work has already struck a deal.

The story revolves around a small town superhero, Huck who uses his special gifts to do a good deed each day. His neighbors return the favours by keeping his abilities a secret. But when a newcomer alerts the media, a firestorm erupts, sending Huck on an adventure that will change everything.

Zoe, who’s a beautiful girl on whom Huck has a major crush on is what Mark wants The Monster’s singer Rihanna to portray on screen. When speaking about Huck’s female lead, Zoe and his first choice for who should play her, he mentioned, “I think Rihanna will be perfect for this. She would be ideal as the female lead.”Huck

As for our hero Huck, Mark would like to see Rihanna star alongside Channing Tatum. “Rihanna’s incredibly charismatic and has a warm face, which is what the role needs. I also think she’s a really good actor,” said Millar. “She and Channing Tatum are my top choices… I’m very excited about ‘Huck.’ With Rihanna and Channing in the roles it would be huge.”

Huck #1, written by Millar and artist Rafael Albuquerque arrives in stores this Wednesday followed by Huck #2 on December, 2015.
