Nickelodeon’s 28th Annual Kids Choice Awards recently aired on Saturday night and will be available on Nickelodeon On Demand, Nick App and Nick.com. The awards ceremony was hosted by Favourite Male Singer pick Nick Jonas.
Taking home the coveted orange blimps for the toon categories were SpongeBob SquarePants (Favourite Cartoon) and Walt Disney Animation Studio’s Big Hero 6 (Favourite Animated Movie). Angelina Jolie was named Favourite Villain for her role in Disney’s live-action Maleficent and The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 swept the film category, taking home Favourite Movie, Favourite Male Action Star (Liam Hemsworth) and Favourite Female Action Star (Jennifer Lawrence).
Other VFX vehicles were also represented, with Ben Stiller taking Favourite Movie Actor for Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb and Emma Stone winning Favourite Movie Actress for The Amazing Spider-Man 2. And with no surprises, the Most Addictive Game winner was Minecraft.
