Anshumani Ruddra part ways with Tiny Mogul, books an appointment with Practo

Bangalore based Tiny Mogul Games has had a major change at the top level management as the studio head, Anshumani Ruddra sees himself out of the company doors.

The studio came into existence in 2013 by virtue of the joint venture between Bharti and SoftBank Japan (Bharti SoftBank). BSB in the recent past also ventured into messaging service space with its application – Hike Messenger.

Tiny Mogul Games currently has 12 games on Google Play Store which include – Shiva: The Time Bender. Other games include Dadi vs Jellies and Cricket Rockstar: Multiplayer, among others of which Dadi vs Jellies won the Game of the Year award at the NASSCOM Game Developer Conference in 2014.

Besides making games for Android, Tiny Mogul also works at bringing its games to the Hike platform, which allows it to have its share of the pie amongst fellow messengers like Line and WeChat.

Anshumani was also a core member of the Hike Messenger initiative. He will now be joining the new startup, Practo after his stint at Tiny Mogul Games. Before joining Tiny Mogul Games, he started out as a writer for the animation house Mopix following which he worked with Zynga in the capacity of a game designer and progressed to being a senior game designer.

On contacting Anshumani, he reveals:”It was a well planned exit and the team was kept in the loop for a while. This was more of a personal decision in terms on working on a different kind of a product, trying to co-create products which are different in nature. The team at Tiny Mogul Games is fantastic and has done great work over the last two and a half years and I wish them all the luck to continue growing.”
