MAAC, one of India’s leaders in 3D Animation training & Visual effects kick-started its ICP (Industry Connect Program) at Royal Shilton Bangalore on 9th Feb . The first of the MAAC Industry connect Program had 50 Animation Students attending the sessions. Experts from leading global Production House enthralled the audience with Industry insights and applicability.
Mr.Shajan Samuel Sr.Vice President MAAC (India) said that the objective of MAAC Industry Connect is to help bridge the gap between Perception and reality .He went on to add that these sessions will help students gain invaluable insights on Industry trends and Applications. Mr.Shajan Said shared that Collaboration across sectors, strong partnerships between Animation training Institutes and industry are necessary approaches to recast today’s Vocational training landscape in a way that will benefit students for better Preparation for Job.
The session gave a broad overview of the types of opportunities available in the segment and the possible career paths. The experts highlighted the need for application-driven learning rather than learning only the concept by itself. Various examples and cases of high end 3D animation and lighting effects were discussed. The students were awed with the knowledge of the speakers as both of the speakers had strong academic and functional backgrounds spanning projects, organizations and countries.
Kaushik Hegde, a student of MAAC Indiranagar, commented, “It was a very educating session and I learnt the finer aspects of applications of lighting. I also got insights into the different job roles in the sector and how candidates’ skills matter more than conventional pure text book based learning”.
