Trivandrum based Indian animation major; Toonz Animation has announced its new edition of the landmark ‘Week with the Masters’ program. Organized as part of the 15th anniversary celebrations of the studio, the Indian Animation Masters Summit 2014 will bring the who’s who of the Indian animation industry to the State capital on 25th and 26th of this month at Kanakakkunnu Palace, Thiruvananthapuram.
“Week with the Masters program was one-of-its-kind in the world when we rolled out the first edition in 1999. It saw animation stalwarts from across the world coming under one roof to discuss and share their know-how to shape the growth of Indian animation industry. This year, we decided to bring together the Indian animation masters to discuss a road map for the Indian animation industry as well as provide a platform for animation enthusiasts to meet and learn from them” said P Jayakumar, CEO of Toonz Group.
“Thirteen prominent personalities from the animation industry will be participating in the summit. This year we are bringing in Devdutt Pattanai, Ajit Rao, Dhimant Vyas, Sanjiv Waeerkar, Nina Sabnani, Prosenjit Ganguly, Gitanjali Rao, Shekhar Mukherjee, Chetan Sharma, Vaibhav Kumaresh, Manisha Mohan, Gayatri Rao and Ranjit Singh Tony to the summit” adds Jayakumar.
The two day summit form 9.00 am to 6.00 pm, will witness some fine presentations and talks on diverse subject related to animation and animation film making. It provides a unique opportunity to the animation enthusiasts to interact with the masters. “We believe that this initiative will set a launch pad for a collective learning in the industry” concludes Jayakumar.
