2015 CG Student Awards Calls for Entries

The CG Student Awards have opened entries for its 2015 contest. The awards sponsored by Autodesk, will showcase excellence in computer graphics from students and recent graduates from the world’s leading training facilities.

“This is truly an incredible opportunity for students and recent alumni to not only showcase their work to industry experts, but it’s simply the best possible way to launch your career in these competitive industries,” declared Awards co-founder Andrew McDonald.

The Awards has six main categories: School of the Year, Student of the Year, Film of the Year, Game of the Year, People’s Choice and Bootcamp Placements (internships).

All computer graphics students worldwide that attended an accredited course between January 2014 – May 2015 are eligible to enter.

Skills for which the students will be judged will include but will not be limited to modeling, texturing, rigging, pre-viz, architectural visualisation, animation, lighting, compositing, character animation, editing, concept art, coding, R&D, game design and game development.

Leading production studios Animal Logic, Double Negative, DreamWorks India, Framestore, Gameloft, Method Studios, Monolith Studio, MPC, NetherRealm Studio, Ninja Theory, Rebellion, RSP, The Mill and Weta Digital are offering 25 professional internships throughout Canada, Europe, India, Oceania and the USA.
