Multimedia has a special offering for this Valentine's Day. The company has launched
a Valentine Package for mobile phones, containing 'Valentine's 3 Game Pack', 'The
Story of Valentine's Day' and 'Tips for Valentine's Day'. As Valentines
Day is just around the corner these games and comics have hit the market at the
right time. The games have been launched
on all the 3 major mobile phone digital markets namely the App store, Nokia Ovi
and the Android marketplace. Valentines 3 Game pack is prices at 0.99 $
on the App store and Android Marketplace and 1 Euro on the Ovi Store. The comics
are free to download. Talking to us
about the game and the comics was Nextwave Multimedia CEO Rajendran as he said,
The Valentines 3 game packs includes games like Connect the Pairs,
Battle of the Cupid and Petals Do Tell. The games are fun to play and we have
added a Valentines theme to all of them. We have also launched a set of
comics where you get to know the story of Valentines Day and how it all
started and in the other comic you get tips of what to do when you go on a date
on Valentines Day. More
about the games - In Connect the pairs the player has to make pairs
of all the cards displayed on the screen by matching similar cards. The game gets
the Valentines theme as the cards have hearts, cupids and many more cute
romantic things drawn on them. In Battle of the cupid you play the
cupid as you have to fight evil monsters that are planning to disrupt the romantic
date happening behind you. Move your cupid around using the touch screen and keep
the monsters away. Petals Do Tell is the traditional She loves
me, she loves me not game, but in this case the player gets to be environment
friendly by plucking digital petals of a digital flower. With
a team strength of 70 Nextwave Multimedia have developed various games over the
past few years but their major focus have been the mobile space only, We
have about 20 games on the Ovi Store till now and 5 on the App store. We definitely
want to be in the mobile space for now simply because the monetization is easy.
Nokias and Samsungs and iPhones are hot platforms right now and we
are focusing on making games for these handsets. We are planning to launch one
game a month from now on. In fact we already have a big library of games which
we would like to modify to be compatible with touch screen gameplay. Also we try
to launch a game on multi platforms. It may look tedious but if you look at it
closely the conceptualization and the design remains the same, its jus the development
part that needs to be worked on but all the hard work pays off when you manage
to monetize and that is the goal of every company added Rajendran. Mobiles
are definitely a hot platform these days and if the right IP is introduced in
the right market it can definitely do wonders. With Valentines Day just
around the corner and as the games are available on all the major digital markets
the games and comics should do well. We will keep you posted with the latest developments
at Nextwave Multimedia. |
